You Can Run But I'll Find You... So. Let's talk about N'ami's aethersight and how Petal is involved. Petal is well aware of the situation with N'ami's father. His voidsent abilities being passed down makes N'ami overtly sensitive to corrupted aether. N'ami's mother is a gifted healer with saturated aether, which makes N'ami quite the overstimulated, yet talented aether manipulator. Because of this, Petal was greatly drawn to her abilities to read aether, but it also came with some caveats. Being aether sensitive usually involves N'ami doing her very best to fight hungry tendencies that could involve her harming others. To stave this craving, Petal gave her an offer. Elder dragon aether is incredibly potent, so much so, that it can act as a catalyst for lessened withdrawals. So, in order for N'ami to fight the craving, Petal openly feeds her her aether. It's strong, it's enticing, it's addicting. Thus, Petal has become not only a 'protector' but an addictive little problem. The feeding feels incredible to Petal as well; feeling intimacy and sexual connection when this exchange is performed. They are fatefully tied together by a glowing thread of aether. One that N'ami is in no mood to rid herself of. Toxic Yuri? I think so. Feeding an addiction and being praised for it? Don't even get me started.

V: Petal “The Elder” Who doesn’t love to be tasked by an elder dragon to protect one of their dragonborn? Along N’ami’s trips throughout Eorzea, she was pleased to stumble into Dravania. Within her trips to Tailfeather, she would often find peace and solitude in the many dragonborn that dwelled there as well as their constituents. Among them was the Elder, Petal, who has long lineage to Hraesvelgr of The First Brood. Petal took a liking to N’ami, both of appreciation and a slight romance as well. She’s protective of N’ami and The Syndicate in kind, and asked to be ‘protected’. This was simply to continue to be attached to N’ami, believing she was capable of great things. What made Petal even more connected to N’ami were far back connections of ancestry involving N’aaja. N’aaja being the warrior of light, had helped Petal’s kind. She wanted to return the favor. Perhaps falling in love with her daughter was the next best thing. She serves as the Syndicate ‘Investor’ but also protector. She’s capable of incredible power and might that is only used when absolutely necessary. She is often behind the scenes and- THE YURI IS GREAT YALL. N’ami often has a moment to answer questions from students! Today, they decided to ask a question she has been trying to avoid for the longest time. Better late than never, I suppose. [A moment of reprieve for the students of Hidaka Dojo is often met with questions for the Grandmaster.] Master Hidaka, what was your first kill like? Were you scared? "Heh, scared shitless actually. I remember the look in his eyes, trembling like a wretch. A mess he was. I, however, was overtaken by his shadow. He squirmed under my blade, he begged for mercy and I kept driving it through his chest, deeper and deeper. His crimson dressed my skin. It looked… breathtaking. Finally, he met my hilt and I hissed at his misery. He told me, "I love you…" I told him.. "Too late…" Was this- was this a lover of yours? IV: Meeko ‘The Rabbit’s Paw’ Dewlight Meeko is a lone recovering voidsent who’s reigned from the first seeking asylum and guidance with The Hidaka Dojo. He started as an outcast within Eorzea, having been excommunicated from the Green Wood. He is mixed race. His mother Viera, his father au ra, he struggles to find where he stands within his own family as well as the world he lives in. Uncareful steps found him in our shard, recalled as the “The Fallen Angel” from the first. Being of mixed race, there is gentleness and care placed within his character’s experiences. They are approached with a very fine line of understanding oneself as well as knowing where you fit within society. N’ami had the absolute honor of meeting him within the Steppe as a bystander, watching him serve food and medicinals to those that dwelled there. His acts of service, his selflessness was enough for her to offer her home and found family. He joined alongside the others without hesitation and sees N’ami as a sister and confidant. Though he appears large in stature, his heart, his soul is of pure intent. He carries himself as a gentle giant to whom he cares for, but a fierce protector as well. Shall he be tested, his enemy is met with their demise in kind. Interesting Fact: He is often seen as the Syndicate’s Inner City Liason. He focuses on community projects as well as understanding its needs so that he can assist with supplying them! III: Adelo 'The Smooth Talker' LeBlanc Adelo serves alongside his twin sibling, Tzi as another long standing member of the clan. Orphaned at a young age with his brother, Adelo also longed for belonging and found family. He serves as the syndicate liaison, using his wit and sharp interrogation skills to understand the inner workings of incoming threats. Adelo has a wealth of knowledge, both in the mental and physical, being the alchemist of the group. He specializes in alchemy and mixology, acting as a bartender for his own bar (front) within Limsa Lominsa. The bar is a place where many lie down their woes, for which he can exploit for information. Once the information is had, he communicates it forthrightly with the clan. Whether it's knowing who's in need, measuring the next threat, or simply talking up a business deal, Adelo is your guy. Fun Fact: Adelo has used many of his alchemist talents to assist with Doman citizens in need of healing potions or medicinals. As a budding herbologist, he seeks to understand the needs of ill residents and to supply them with whatever they need to seek healthiness. His only hang up is that he has tirelessly tried to convince N'ami to seek medical help. To which she consistently resists. “Lie your woes along the bar top, your secret is safe is with me…”

(A simple black background and a white rune/symbol rests upon it) At the young age of 9, N'ami had been carefully working on various symbols to communicate with her fathers to denote her location and safety. If you've delved into N'ami's lore, you'd know that her family specifically was targeted often in clan raids within the Steppe. She'd need to clearly communicate where she had found asylum until she returned home. Her fathers would find these symbols intricately placed within Doma to locate her. This symbol shown has many aspects that relate to N'ami's life in kind. The symbol is a rising sun along the coast of the red sea. The dash in the middle of the sunrise is a lone samurai, or in our case, N'ami. The dot just above the sunrise denotes an angel, N'ami's mother. N'ami decided to keep this symbol throughout her life, using it as the coined symbol of the Clan/Syndicate. Whispers mention that this symbol can STILL be found amongst docks, carved in trees and even stained in charcoal on Kugane side streets. If your character has ever ventured into Kugane or Yanxia, perhaps they may have stumbled upon this symbol. Perhaps they may have tried to understand it's meaning. It's simple: The Hidaka Clan is here. The Hidaka Clan is home.

Tzipporah 'The Sharp Shooter' LeBlanc (Tzi | Zee) Tzi serves as one of the oldest members of the syndicate serving alongside his twin brother, Adelo. Tzi had a turbulent upbringing but has found solace in being the omniscient one of the twins. He serves as the syndicate scout, searching for aspiring samurai and tacticians to uphold the syndicate creed. He specializes in engineering, gunsmithing and weapons making. When he's not busy scouting in the field, he works with other blacksmiths and engineers in the area to make great weapons for the clan and potential customers. CW: SA Mention Interesting Fact: Tzi often hosts self defense classes at the dojo for mothers and victims of assault, serving as an asylum and safe space for them. N'ami 'The Sun Killer' Hidaka N'ami is sat upon a chair that rests in the lower level of her dojo. Legs crossed in a well fitted suit, she awaits a meeting with the rest of her colleagues. The Hidaka Clan hosts a dojo for many who are looking to train and hone their skills; to be impactful and humble swordsman. However, below it's opening doors rests the syndicate, a group of 8 individuals who have upheld an ongoing philanthropic mission. They are often hired mercernaries, hired entertainment and businessman. But most of all, they lead to give to those in need, by any means necessary. Of the group, N'ami Hidaka stands as acting owner and creator of the LLC. Though there is lessened crime significance of the group, other governing bodies define them as such. N'ami is realized as the leader and keen eyes have been consistently tracking her. Lucky for her, the city, it's constituents and it's people, prefer her presence. She provides them with hope, rids the city of potential threats and does so with a humble and kind heart.

She lays it out more bare for him to understand. She isn’t ready to let go of what she’s built. It’s been her whole life and nothing else. “To leave it all behind… I-I built this place… I don’t think I’m ready to leave…” “N’ami…”

She begins to justify her staying in her current role. Being a samurai despite her own health and needs. Kaze looks at her with a confident smile. “There’s still so much to be done, so many people to save… I’m not-“ “N’ami…” he reassures…

N’ami begins to realize that she has a hard time letting go, which brings her to tears… she’s not ready. But her heart is begging her to let go, for her own health. Kaze continues to reassure her. -sniffle- “You’ve done well to lift up the next generation. Let us handle the rest, while you deserve the rest of your life…”

With age, comes the horrid reality that you aren’t as strong as you once were. But you are wiser. 💔
