Last nights sleep. Am averaging 4 hours a night for last week. 5 for if I look at the last month but none of it is continuous. I generally function quite well on not much sleep but struggling at the moment. Hence lack of running.

Getting ready to do briefing. Run director and some volunteers huddling under tree and with umbrellas.

Me run directing with lovely friend who came to volunteer. Marshall point one. I have on a dry robe and run director vest. She is in full waterproofs and yellow high vis vest.

More volunteers at our meeting point by the zip slide. The trolley full of equipment sort of under the platform of the zip slide in a vain attempt at keeping it dry 😂

Some of the parkrun vests and flag drip drying hung on an airer over my bath. At this point, though its not going to get dry quickly as we have no heating. Misty kitten has come to have a look.

Capn the mascot bear is wearing a parkrun t shirt and captain america shorts. He has lego style hands and head fancy dress on with a carved pumpkin style face. He is sat on corner of zip slide. Behind the grass, trees and everything bathed in sunshine.

Fancy dress junior parkrun today, even our mascot capn bear joined in! Did an easy 5km before then tailwalking duties, so 7km to end the week. Not really feeling it but glad I got out in the sunshine. #running2keepthecrazyaway #legorunbuddy #running #juniorparkrun #highvisheroes #parkrun

View from finish line at junior parkrun over towards the zip slide (our meeting point( with last few runners and volunteers tidying up and collecting cake!

On my walk home with my keepsake medal. I am wearing a rainbow jumper and a turquoise zip up hoody. I have rainbow zebra paint sunglasses on and a purple/pink striped fluffy tail that is tucked under my arm.

New #legorunbuddy she has light purple trousers, dark purple top that says runbuddy, blue hair and her own black cat! She is stood on platform for zip slide at the park with my can of diet coke behind her and parkrun equipment behind. Plus a bag full of crisps that a fellow volunteer had sourced for small as they are the only ones he will eat and my local shops had run out.

Garmin stats for August.. showing 157.1 km which obviously i really need to round up to 160.8 to make 100 miles...
