The Octagon House was originally built in the 1860s. It’s been a dream of mine to tour it. Finally happened thanks to #HistoricHudson. 🙏

Hats off to Bella de Costa Greene, Morgan’s personal librarian who acquired & curated many of these items. A woman with a great deal of power in a time dominated by men.
