A vintage looking street lamp with 3 unlit globe lights at the top and a flag sign dangles that reads, “Pioneer Square, Seattle’s original since 1852.” Behind the pole, the white Smith Tower with its pointy pinnacle at the highest level is visible as the sun begins to set. Beyond that the black, curvy Smith Tower rises far above the rest of the buildings. The sky is blue and cloudless. Street lights are lit up for the evening, as commuters begin to make their ways home.
