at the beginning of the year I kind of said I wouldn't participate in more booktube-only activities or readathons, but I can't seem to stay away from certain challenges or vibes. I've been accidentally doing #horrormayhem ...oh well!

The theme for this year's #HorrorMayhem reading event is "Decades of Dread," so I'm kicking it off a day early with Clive Barker's short story "Dread." #books
"There is no delight the equal of dread."

Laurell K. Hamilton - “The Killing Dance”

This morning I learned Guy N. Smith’s 1976 horror novel “Night of the Crabs” has been reissued with a new introduction by Brian Keene. I’ve owned “Crab’s Moon” forever but I don’t think I’ve ever read the original. Adding it to my TBR list for the #HorrorMayhem reading event. #books
The hosts for the #HorrorMayhem reading event are starting to post announcement videos. This year’s theme is “Decades of Dread,” focusing on a wide timeline of short stories, novellas, and novels under 250 pages. Sign me up. #books
