Just finished watching #HouseOfDynamite and while the movie was really, REALLY well done the way it ended left me unsettled. I am absolutely sure that was the intention given the subject matter but I would really have loved to have had the next ten minutes.

Well *I* liked #HouseOfDynamite. The ambiguous ending doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting. To me, the movie is asking the viewer, “Now you have all the same information the President had: What decision would *you* make?” More movies should challenge audiences to think for themselves like that.

Watched #HouseofDynamite the other day and really enjoyed it. Was I a bit frustrated by the ending? Yes and No. I like open endings, although I think that the ending was actually clear.
Anyway, another good Bigelow movie!

The bit of the trailer for #HouseOfDynamite that sucked me in
was the political/military mom telling her husband
to drive with their kid as far away from urban centers as possible,
knowing she would likely die and never see them again.

Anyhoo... #HouseOfDynamite is, in writer's terms, part of an inciting incident (not the beginning or the end of it) told from multiple American perspectives (starting from the same point over and over).
The acting is great.
The story is weak and very American-targeted.

you don't have so many enemies
you don't know who might risk the lives of all their citizens
to destroy you?
Maybe try to REDUCE the perceived need for nuclear weapons?

And my solution wouldn't be to build a better missile defense system but hey, maybe to stop infuriating the rest of the world?

The Dear Wonderful Hubby & I wasted two precious hours of our lives watching #HouseOfDynamite on Netflix.
It is a 2 hour pitch by the US military for more funding,
feeding into American Paranoia
and has NO story arc, character arc
since, hey, ads don't need all that, do they?
