But #HudsonYards also drew ire for abuse of the EB-5 program, intended to support economically-needy districts by giving US visas to foreigners investing $500K+. This was achieved by creating a cynically gerrymandered area that linked to public housing in Harlem via Central Park.

Evening scene at a high-end shopping mall in a large city during the holiday season, overlooking the large, six-story grand foyer of the mall; all over the mall, everything is excessively decorated with lighted ornaments of hold, long strings of lights and green garlands; in the center, appearing to hover above the large, marble floor where the customers make their way in and out of the shops, there is a giant, two-stories tall model of a hot air balloon - gold in color and encrusted in lights that shine like jewels; to either side of the great hot air balloon are bunches of regular balloons, also gold and instead of a basket, are attached to lighted Christmas trees - making them seem to levitate in the air.

Evening scene at a fancy, high-end shopping mall in a large city during the holiday season, facing down a set of escalators, gleaming in gold trimmings and lights; staring downward towards the lower tiers of balconies and mall walking areas - all of which are also strung in colder lights and decorations - reveals the true size of this large mall all the way to the second floor mezzanine where there is an entrance to a fancy shop; there are other people posing and taking photographs with the backdrop of the over-the-top decorations; at this same level, in the distance, is a restaurant with a sign that reads "Eataly Caffe"; it is not bad but overpriced.

Nighttime scene in a large city during the holiday season in the courtyard of a large architectural attraction shaped like a pine cone; the "vessel" is a massive sculptural achievement that is eight levels tall, each dtramatically cantilevered and wrapped in golden lighting; it is not longer fully accessible because people were jumping off; the tree-lined courtyard, still damp from recent weather, is usually very crowded with tourists but, since the area is in close proximity to a big river, not many are able to enjoy it very well due to the strong winds blowing in from the water; the small trees lining the tiled courtyard are glowing very brightly with golden lights that illuminate the paved area; in the background, the area is surrounded by architecturally creative buildings and (new but rather common-looking) skyscrapers that are also lit up tonight, not for the holidays but just as they normally are.

Evening scene in a large city at a park amid a corridor of high-rise and skyscraper buildings, many of which have been built somewhat recently; the park is surrounded by small and medium sized trees that are entirely wrapped in decorative lighting, mostly in gold; they match the amber glow coming from the windows of the neighboring buildings; at the center of the scene is parked a red Hebrew National hot dog cart which also sells burgers and sandwiches, but this area is not as busy in the evening as in the daytime, so the hot dog guy is just chillin; far in the distance is some more festive lighting of various colors, as well as a famous architectural structure known as "the vessel".
