Day 1 highlights from Tokyo 🇯🇵

The annual World #OceanSummit is always a wonderful opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about the ocean economy, catch up with partners, and make new connections in the #hydrospatial community.

So far, day 1 hasn’t disappointed.

❗Harsh polar conditions, legacy #technology, and extreme depths - these are just a few of the challenges the #hydrospatial community faces when mapping the seafloor.

But scaling up data acquisition presents an even greater hurdle.

A must-read for anyone interested in deep-ocean mapping.. Got my copy of the latest book by @deepseadawn.bsky.social - looking forward to reading it - Dawn is an inspirational human being & great ambassador for our #hydrospatial community.
