It's definitely messed up my giving this year. My favorite thing about Iditarod (good dogs aside) is #igivearod, where folks donate to Donors Choose projects in rural AK. This year my extra $$ and thensome has gone to rent relief and local/indie media reporting on MN.
The sum of all that you've accomplished isn't merely running races (though that is an incredible feat in and of itself). Your legacy will live on in the offspring of the dogs you've raised and whose lives you've touched. Your legacy will live on in every project funded by the #Igivearod.

These charities include those helping DV survivors, helping house and support LGTBQ+ kids, providing veterinary care to rural Alaskan villages, and supporting retired and rescued Alaskan huskies. Once again, the #igivearod reminds me of all the good we can do together. 2/2
This may have been said by somebody else already, but just in case it hasn't, it looks like the #igivearod raised over $52,000 in 12 days this year!! Just over $22,000 went to Donors Choose to support Alaskan classrooms and the other $30,000 went to some outstanding Alaskan charities. 1/

Every group listed gets at least $1000. Looked up Native Movement in my red lantern grab. They were providing food when SNAP was cut, also crisis intervention. We only raised $227 for them. Their bio was vague, impacted my early donations. Next year ...

The red lantern is 10 miles out, so you've got maybe 90 minutes before the matchy match runs out and not too much longer before the #igivearod formally closes for the year.
When I donate through the #igivearod Donors Choose link, does that populate the spreadsheet or should I enter manually? I forget every single dingle year!

Fair warning ... y'all have been amazing with the donations to the #Igivearod and I love it, but I am approaching my monetary limit. It's not quite there yet, but I'm like to tap out before the red lantern gets to Nome. Just didn't want anybody feeling like they were misled about the matches.
The back of the #Iditarod54 pack is currently hunkered down at least overnight in White Mountain waiting out the weather. While they safely snooze, the triple match is still ongoing! #igivearod
