blackbyrdcalgary Morning everyone, We struggle to call this a "good morning" for, as many of you know, last night, while the premier fled the country, our legislature passed Bill 2, forcing a workforce of 55,000 wounded teachers back to their overcrowded and underfunded classrooms through the contemptible use of strong arm tactics. While many of you who come by our shop to take part in our beloved community recognize our morals and values, we generally keep our posting strictly to music. It's a shared passion that has brought so many of you into our lives, allowed us to forge friendships, to open dialogues, and to speak in a universal language. We feel strongly - vehemently - that what this province witnessed in the past 24 dark hours calls for more precise language: We are appalled, deeply saddened, bluntly fearful of the actions taken by the Alberta government and, with whatever meager platform we entertain, condemn it wholeheartedly.

I love this shop. I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for years and today I feel the odd sense of pride for a retail store but clearly, they are so much more than that. /1
