Was trying to get some pieces glazed today, when a posse of Hydro trucks (not all from Ontario - thank you QC) came down the road and parked in front. Then the power went out again. This time to fix the downed power line down the road. #horuseyepottery

Itโs been a LONG night. Hoping to move in recovery, we got smashed as high winds/freezing rain/thunder&lightning raged all night long. The rain continues. Power has drifted in & out. Orillia hospital took a lightning strike igniting a fire.

These guys were working on the arterial rd near our home. We could hear the trees cracking. It was thunderous. And when falling trees took out a transformer that imploded into flames, these guys did their jobs.

Looking down at a pump, extending out from a stone foundation of a house. The pump is an extension of a sump pump from the basement of this Stonehouse and it is pumping water out. You can see the water falling onto the ground and you can see a little bit of snow and ice also on the ground. On the bottom of the picture, you can see the edge of the deck and the railing on the veranda. The veranda is white, and the deck is made of composite and is beige and color.
Iโm impressed & appreciative with how great the insurance company has been. I called, filed a ticket w/them 4:05 AM, they called back 7:00 AM. Fingers are crossed as weโve entered the draining & dry out stage. Power is holding but storm is headed our way.

Ice accretion on a small tree
The storm was forewarned for days & lived up to it's billing as a destructive event. Power out for days; many still don't have any. But still a remarkable sight to see. Glad I'm warm again though! More to come!
