After being pounded for 10 days, no power, water, impassable roadways, people stranded, yesterday was finally t/break we needed as clean up/recovery got underway. Then this turns up - we just can’t catch a break. Here we go again.

It’s been a LONG night. Hoping to move in recovery, we got smashed as high winds/freezing rain/thunder&lightning raged all night long. The rain continues. Power has drifted in & out. Orillia hospital took a lightning strike igniting a fire.

And these warriors are still out there this morning as Midland braces 4 incoming extreme winds/ice storm. With tree debris strewn everywhere, they’re asking us to stay inside. So many injuries/damage from flying debris.
Power is still holding.

These guys were working on the arterial rd near our home. We could hear the trees cracking. It was thunderous. And when falling trees took out a transformer that imploded into flames, these guys did their jobs.
BTW, this fella is a lineman from Michigan.

There is a set of industrial fans and a humidifier that are in the colour blue and have black fixtures on them. They are sitting on a dark wood floor and you can see a bookcase behind them filled with books. The bookcase is blue and the books are all different colors. They appear to be cookbooks.
Looking down at a pump, extending out from a stone foundation of a house. The pump is an extension of a sump pump from the basement of this Stonehouse and it is pumping water out. You can see the water falling onto the ground and you can see a little bit of snow and ice also on the ground. On the bottom of the picture, you can see the edge of the deck and the railing on the veranda. The veranda is white, and the deck is made of composite and is beige and color.
I’m impressed & appreciative with how great the insurance company has been. I called, filed a ticket w/them 4:05 AM, they called back 7:00 AM. Fingers are crossed as we’ve entered the draining & dry out stage. Power is holding but storm is headed our way.

D5 no power. Midland has been pulverized. We’re exhausted & they’re calling for ice storms today. Clean up/restoration team is scheduled to start pumping out our home today. Fingers crossed.
