Looking south across the River Inn from Passau at pastel coloured houses and a church steeple. The Inn is bigger than the Danube which it will join a few hundred metres down stream.

St Stephens Cathedral (one of many dedicated to him we saw on our travels) Its been cleaned recently and its baroque architecture is brilliant white. Green copper onion domes cap the towers, added later on the orders of a bishop as another church had been built in the town which was taller, And that could not be.

Looking North across the Danube at chocolate box houses beneath a steep wooded slope. The city is prone to flooding and we saw photos where the river was half way up the walls of these houses.

Easter Monday was the last day of our #Danube cruise and we awoke in #Passau in #Bavaria on the confluence of the Danube #Inn and #ilz We agreed this was our favourite of all the places we stopped.
