This is advice for anyone looking for a UK based book #indexer. The Society of Indexers has a directory, but not all #indexers have live entries. If you struggle to find someone, just ask and we can post on the professionals forum to help find someone with subject experience. Also, book early!

#Indexers and #LIS folks: I'm looking for (a) existing policy or (b) research evidence on usability/information retrieval that gives a threshold for when (i.e., at how many pages) a document needs an index. It's for some accessibility committee work I'm involved in.
Hey, #indexers who use Cindex on a Mac: Do NOT upgrade to Ventura. It's buggy and the folks at Cindex haven't done support on it yet. (I'd also argue it's just a really bad OS, and I'm not alone in that.)
