I'm not sure why this film is hated. First off, they're CHILDREN so they're not necessarily going to pick the best option. For the people not understanding why the girl kept going back, she was trying to save her brother. 🤦 Does this mean most people would just let their sibling die? Also, when someone is in a tense situation they're not going to think straight. And again, they're children. I don't think the lack of dialogue is a negative, rather it adds to the intensity. My issue with the film is the couple that are kidnapping that children don't feel like fully developed characters. The man seemed high or something and his actions felt robotic. I get that the woman wanted revenge for them killing her partner(?) but the intensity she portrayed felt out of proportion.
Monster (no not that miniseries) was more intense than I expected and after looking at other reviews, did some people forget that these are children?? #indonesianfilm #thrillerfilm #movie #review
