Chapter 1 rough draft of City of Lights completed! Usually I'd move onto chapter 2, but my editor wants to try something so I'll be doing revisions now so I can send it to him. We'll see how this works. I'm a tad worried but no reason not to try it since he'd like to see.

I wrote a few paragraphs today and decided on the name of a character for a later book. I'm working on her because I feel she'll be important. I've made a few decisions on her, but nothing set in stone just yet.

So instead of writing like I should have been, I instead made a new monster for #Infernulls This is a fun one too. I wonder if I should say it or just wait for now... hmm... I think I'll wait.
#Infernulls I can tell I'm getting antsy about finishing chapter 1 because I'm like "Am I dragging it out too far? Should I do less? Is doing less just going to ruin what I'm going for?" instead of just doing it and seeing what happens. But I'm right at the end of it.

Wrote some more today. About a page worth. Back into the flow of things. I'm a bad writer, whenever I have to 'describe' the thing, it takes me forever to get it done, and then once the describing is done and I'm in the flow of conversation or battle it's easy lol.
I still find it kind of amazing that I went into making #Infernulls seeing if I could make something that felt like the old animes I loved, and regardless of whether I accomplished that or not, I am so attached to these characters that I have thought about them at least once a day for 3 years.
I feel like working on #Infernulls and #CatIsekai has made me a better writer a lot faster than my many years of writing short stories. It might also be my editor being like "Really?" and learning from that.

There is an assassins guild but they are unknown, and would have to be caught first.
I started writing for #Infernulls The City of Lights today, and I'm working on a scene that in the real world is an exciting thing for some, but pretty grounded... and then I realized... I have MAGIC. Ahahaha~!

Wrote a few paragraphs today for book 2, I'm close to the end of chapter 1, but I'm also trying not to rush it. I feel like if I rush it, then things will get left out.
But I'd say I'm a good 3/4ths or more done with chapter 1 rough draft.

Lamya desperately wants a second chance, but doesn't really think she deserves one. At the same time though, she may have seen her way to get it.
What does she want a second chance for? Well, there's hints in book 1, and more clarity to come in book 2.

Most Priests from #Infernulls come from The City of Lights, where they're trained in the Light and how to heal and support their comrades.
The Priest leader is a man named Wulfric, a cool priest with his own fan club. Above him is Caedda, leader of the Holy Trinity.

A lot of cultures in #Infernulls worship an element or aspect over actual dieties. Many nations have rituals it.
Example: City of Lights has the Hero brand, a tattoo that lets the Light in, changing people to Light Aspect. Assuming they can keep their cool while solidifying.

Wrote some today, Voice actress told me she has more lines for me to check but I stalled and didn't do it.
Exciting, isn't it? Procrastinating in real time.

In #Infernulls the animals use scientific names as their main names, mainly so you'll kinda understand what it is, but they are different.
So domestic Dogs and cats exist as Canis and Felis. They are 'mostly' the same, with some differences. Example: An Ovis (Sheep!)
Started reading #Infernulls by @infernulls.bsky.social today. Not super far in but it's already kinda charming.

So update on Book 2 and the Audio book. My current goal is to work on "something" a day. Whether it be writing the rough draft, or listening to lines from my VO for the audio book.
Today listened to some lines from the VO and talked with her, and I think we're going in a good direction

A few! Lamya's fondest memories is her first week with her adoptive father, and he gave her a blue bell flower. It was so pretty and it hooked on her ear. Kept it till it wilted and cried for a long time after. Give her a break, she was only 4.

When Flora/Light/Water magic isn't available, some plants are used.
There's a yellow flower that is used as the base for a medicine that can heal a good amount of illnesses. Though that makes me wonder... Why did the Widget in book 1 needed them. Hm. Strange.

#Infernulls Ro'Kath forest trees have been twisted and changed from centuries of being located by the Void Portal, a portal that pours out infinite Shadow energy.
They're jagged, twisty, completely black. The forest is completely dark beyond neon glowing purple leafs.

The next book: #Infernulls the City of Lights has the Showman, a guy who's more about flare.
So he dresses to dazzle and show off how good he is. He wants everyone to know he's the greatest Magus, and that he has style. He wants to keep you mesmerized so you don't look at his sleight of hand.

However, there is the Twilight Wars, a fight against Light and Dark Aspect, where a mad king used Dark energy to turn himself into a monster and control hordes of monsters that's pretty significant
