Alison Graves - humans are biased so the machines are biased... As humans, we are aware of our bias.
With humans we can trace the bias.
Interpreters scan the audience and correct their biases.
But AI is a black box. We don't know how the machine makes its decisions.

The topic of this year's #InterpretingEurope is AI x AI, Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Interpreting.
But apart from a few comments talking about wish lists of what AI could do for us, one day, we haven't actually talked about tools that can help me interpret better. 🤔

What I would like from AI is what our colleagues already do for us - listen to let us know when we have misunderstood, or write down numbers for us.
