A few firsts of the year for us today. Meadow Brown (Maniola jurtina), Large Skipper (Ochlodes sylvanus), Volucella bombylans, and Red-eyed Damselfly (Erythromma najas). Seen at Surlingham and Rockland Broad. More used to seeing Red-eyed Damselflies on lilies than on Hemlock!
