#SewAndTell Repair week is timely - this morning I heard an awful rip when I put on my coat, the armpit seam popped! The fabric was undamaged so it was just a matter of ladder stitching the seam shut again. I used this vintage synthetic silk doubled for extra strength.

A photo of the same sweater area, but now it is repaired. There is a slight gap along one column of knit stitches, but it should even out after washing and reshaping. Thread used to mimic the sweater yarn was three strands of desaturated navy embroidery floss.
