Two pieces of fossilised wood (approx. 6 cm x 1 cm) deposited from the London clay (circa 50 mil old) found exposed along the Sheppy Cliffs and Foreshore, Isle of Sheppy, Kent, England. Both have sloppy, faeces-like 'deposits' over parts of them. They are dark and metallic looking. A QEII one penny coin is shown for size comparison.

A small club-shaped coprolite(?) Approx. 4 cm long, and 1 cm wide at its thickest.

Keeping on the theme of poo, I'm pretty sure that this is a coprolite, a fossilised number two! 😊 Possibly of a large fish, or shark of the Eocene epoch (56 to 33.9 million years ago). Found on the 08/05/25, Sheppy Cliffs and Foreshore #Fossils #IsleOfSheppy #Kent #England
