Then such a delight that so long after being briefly (but unforgettably) so much fun, they gave us so much more.

Despite this fact, I feel that this series has still been another gem in the #JagoandLitefoot crown. Long may it continue.

If you're interested in listening to the first few series’, they’re still on #Spotify for now.

Before I began the first series of #JagoandLitefoot, I was a bit hesitant. I honestly thought that two fairly liked characters from a single classic #DoctorWho serial had been brought back just for the sake of making a spin-off.

This is a direct continuation from #TheBloodlessSoldier and in a way, felt like it should’ve been the second story in this range. With hints of #TheUnquietDead, a story I feel is underrated from #DoctorWho S1, this continues a strong run of stories in the #JagoandLitefoot range.

I’m really starting to enjoy the #JagoandLitefoot range. There is something about the setting, sound production and voice artists that just elevate a story. If the story itself is great, magic is born.

Been listening to the last ever #JagoAndLitefoot made by @bigfinish.bsky.social after Trevor Baxter's death, and now sobbing 'cos not only is he gone, but so's Christopher Benjamin & David Warner.

I suddenly feel very protective of @lisabowerman.bsky.social and @louisejameson.bsky.social!

It’s as though I’ve been hearing their adventures for years and, like #ThePaternosterGang, #JagoandLitefoot were the TV spin-off we were denied all those years ago, and like the latter, #BigFinish stepped in to give fans what they’d asked for.

Out of the success of #TheMahoganyMurderers comes #JagoandLitefoot – and at the time of writing this review, the first few series are available to listen to for free on #Spotify – so there are no excuses for those who are interested, but have limited finances.

For those unfamiliar with #JagoandLitefoot, they first appeared in #DoctorWho story #TheTalonsofWengChiang. For those who are familiar with them, you’ll be glad to know that actors Christopher Benjamin and Trevor Baxter have certainly not lost their spark.

a cartoon advertisement for a fictional spin-off of Doctor Who "produced" in about 1979, named "Jago and Litefoot" featuring the return of two secondary characters, Henry Gordon Jago (played by Christopher Benjamin) (left) and Professor George Litefoot (played by Trevor Baxter) (right) from the 4th Doctor story, "The Talons of Weng-Chiang"

They are standing in front of a green tinged image of what purports to be a street in Victorian London, and are both wearing Victorian era fine clothes.

Jago is tall and rather gaunt, with long sideburns, a large nose and a mustache. He is wearing a green jacket, a gold vest, and a white wing-collared shirt with a large flamboyant bright blue bow-tie. He has a red flower pinned to his lapel.

Litefoot is shorter, with grey hair, a small mustache and a rather weak chin. He is wearing a dark purple jacket over a Maroon vest, with a black cravat.

To the upper left of the image is the BBC's advertised details for the (fictional) TV show on a red field. "Robert Holmes' Jago & Litefoot" (Robert Holmes was the writer who created the characters, and here is the creator of the TV show). It will air on Wednesday nights at 7:15pm on the BBC.
