The thin green deciduous tree behind her shows that it is very stormy. It is swaying its leaves to the right. The lady is sitting on a chair, wearing an orange smock over a short black and white skirt and gazing intently to the left. Her short gray hair is blowing in the wind, but that doesn't stop her from painting. A wonderful snapshot of a great storyteller with his photo camera. Info: Jean Gaumy (b. 1948) is a French photographer and award-winning filmmaker who has worked for Magnum Photos since 1977, specializing in the portrayal of isolated or restricted communities and groups.
