Paxson became the 70th player to wear the #Blazers uniform when he debuted on October 12, 1979. He averaged 16 points in 627 games.
When he was traded in 1988, Paxson was the all-time leading scorer in franchise history with 10,004 points. Paxson still ranks in Top-10 in Points, Steals, Assists, FGM, FTM, among others.
The draft also featured three other players that wore the #Blazers uniform. #CalvinNatt, selected 8th by the #NewJerseyNets, would join the Blazers midway thru his rookie year and played 333 games over 4 plus seasons in #Portland.

The 6'-6" Paxson played in the @NBA All-Star games in 1983 and 1984, becoming the fourth #Portland to play in a second All-Star game. #SidneyWicks (4 games), #GeoffPetrie (2 games), and #MauriceLucas (3 games) were the others.
Paxson was named to the All-NBA second team in 1984 when he averaged 21.3 points. He was the third Blazer player to be honored with an All-NBA team, after #BillWalton and #MauriceLucas.
