The little Kôyô, who had held onto hope for a better life, not knowing yet it would eventually break. What would she say, if witnessing she had grown up to be the same thing that had taken the promise of freedom and affection from her? Though, there wasn’t any need to wonder, not really; in the way Kyôka had fought her for the sake of her new life and her friend, there she had an answer. Except Kôyô had been blind to it. “I’m sorry.” She whispered, to both the girl she had wronged and the girl she had once been.
We’ll wish together, we’ll make our wishes true together We go on together, unafraid of tears “I feel like…” Yosano said, glancing away from the starry night and back to Ranpo with a grin on her face. “If we’re together, or rather, when we’re together? We can do anything.” There was no doubt about it, and thus her tone perfectly reflected that. “Well, that was the feeling I wanted to convey since your first meeting, so glad to know it’s worked.” Ranpo replied, and both shared a giggle. “Maybe it sounded a bit too much.” She then shrugged. “But no regrets.” “Nah.” He answered, waving a hand to effectively dismiss the idea. “It sounds great like that.” Then, there came a brief moment of silence, where what they shared was an exchange of soft smiles followed shortly after and culminated by a long, tender kiss on the lips.
