My partner and I watched “Kids on the Slope” recently and fell in love with both the anime and the soundtrack. So much so that I wanted to buy the CD and the only way was to import it from Japan.
It got home today!

Loved it a lot more than I could have, since I'm not big on relationship drama. The character depth, music, and 60s Japanese historical elements worked so well. The closest one of Watanabe's story-driven shows got to matching his episodic trinity for me.

5 episodes into this anime. This kind of slice-of-life with heavy relationship drama won't be for everyone, , but I'm honestly liking it a lot more than I could have. Helps that the characters are fleshed out so well. Hope it continues just as strong.

Watched the first episode of this anime, and looks like we might have a other Watanabe winner. Liked how it introduces the main character as he transfers schools, and eventually gets into Jazz music. And as usual for Watanabe, the animation and music are great.
