Four groups of fifty needles - latchhooks, really - from a knitting machine, laid out on a yellow cloth that has many little black marks from wiping the schmutz off them.

200 clean(ish) standard gauge knitting machine needles after being soaked in 91% isopropyl alcohol and a few drops of oil. I think the pattern of schmutz they made on the cloth is kind of neat.

Two knit hats in green and white stranded colourwork, with solid green at the crown. They have folded hems so they're triple-thick over the ears, for triple warmth. They have tags tied to them with the KnittingPirate logo on one side, and care instructions on the other.

After some trial and error, I got the tags to print properly. Now I just have to pop them out and tie them on.

The start of a stranded colourwork hat which has a pattern repeat of five gray wolves on a dark blue background, howling at the moon. The brim of the hat is green and brown with tan speckles, which is supposed to be the ground.

I successfully knit the wolves, but it took so much manual needle selection 😭 The machine's been brought to the workshop for cleaning & figuring out what's wrong.

Next time I might just do more dark blue ribbing at the brim instead of the 'ground' effect.

First sample off the 8-button knitting machine! I dropped a few stitches in the process of figuring out which needles do/don't select for tucking, oops. But she knits so nicely! The carriage hardly takes any effort to move.
