underrated aspect of k'oto tia is how self destructive he is bc he feels like he deserves punishment for what happened to mimi/his clan by throwing himself into fights/other dangerous situations and is always seeking distractions for the (misplaced) guilt through partying and sex he does genuinely ENJOY these things but pre stb it was wayyyy less about the enjoyment and wayyyyy more about being an unhealthy coping mechanism to keep him from thinking too hard about everything. get knocked unconscious in a bar fight? got blackout drunk and woke up in some dudes bed? awesome, thats several hours where the horrors were not haunting him 👍 now he can proceed with his day until they creep back in
