Finishing another reread of #KushielsLegacy and my heart is full and happy. I think I've cried more over it this time than ever before.

🤯 JUST realized how much this series shaped my idea of devotion and love. Jocelyn is a why a male protag acting against loved ones’ priorities “for their own good” to protect himself from discomfort or loss pisses me off.
…same for moments I’ve failed that test myself.

For a pre/sidequel, the poignance of Jocelyn’s “youthful innocence,” knowing the price of maturity and how complex his understanding of true devotion will become, is a level all its own. Looking forward to rereading but glad I went in this order.
