Awesome to see the juv Baird's sandpiper at LORP today, and amazing find by Steve Windle. Lifers roll on, 208 species for Devon, what's next. Great to see everyone enjoying this gorgeous wee wader. Great views by scope, distant for pics #bairdssandpiper #birding #lorp #rarebird

Photo of view of tidal estuary full of water and the headland in the distance reflected in the water, along with its distinctive fringe of Scots Pines. It is early evening and there are sunset tints of pink in the sky and in the reflection. The plant in question is about 3” tall and has not yet come into flower, there are several stems with leaves and short branches coming off the stems. This picture was clearly taken for the view and not for plant identification!!

#ByTheSea last month: photographed the view, but took no plant pictures for #WildflowerHour! Can’t believe it! However -silhouetted in the foreground may be Sea Aster, which has appeared at edges of the Lower Otter Restoration Project #LORP near Budleigh Salterton.
Couldn’t be a worse pic for ID πŸ˜‚

This tree graveyard is at the lower Otter near Budleigh Salterton. Most trees dead. Thousands of tree guards. Compostable? Yes, but only with commercial composting facilities not outside in nature. Greenwashing by @ClintonDevon #LORP
