Ahead of #ClimateChange #COP30, Yunus Arikan of @iclei.org describes the importance of the various ways #LRGs can engage in #NDCs, especially with recent developments in COPs in having "multilevel action partnerships".
Diana Rizzolio, @genevaenvironmentnetwork.org Coordinator, presents the various international environmental negotiations where #LRGs can engage, including negotiations on a legally-binding treaty on #PlasticPollution, #SPPCWP, amongst others that tackle the #TriplePlanetaryCrisis.
Opening the session, Kamelia Kemileva of the Global Cities Hub highlights that the discussion today will tackle #multilateralism in general, touching upon different events that may be relevant for local & regional governments #LRGs in 2025.
