Best place I've found in the River Lark for Bullheads is down from Cherry Tree Lock. Look at this magnificent chap right out in open; but pectoral fin damaged. Also in The Slough, 1 of the shoal of Chub had damaged tail, but Gudgeons healthy. #MySwim #Lackford #Chalkstreams 1/4
I❤️#chalkstreams! A small tributary of River Lark W of @SWTLackfordLake PACKED with dozens of Chub, including lurking under fallen trees with Gudgeon, & Minnows in breeding condition. However several were sadly diseased/damaged.

At least 5 livestock access points to the river downstream of Lackford.
Also, a shipwrecked ATV.

A pair of Mute Swans led the way down the River Lark amidst swarms of flies. They were good guides through the reed beds & overhanging willows and around the fallen trees.
