This is a square image of a tree stump. The outer edges are covered with a vibrant green moss whilst the inner part of the trunk is marked where the wood appears lighter. The marks resemble the hands of a clock at 3:00. There is also a second hand which appears to be sweeping round the putative clock face. The whole thing is embedded in the dried twigs of fir trees.

This is a squeare format snowy winter landscape. I shows Langsett Resservoir with the sun beginning to set with the hills of the Peak District in the background. There are some farm buidings and a tractor in the near middle distance. The picture is taken fromn the top of Hartcliffe (Penistone, North of Sheffield).

Langsett Reservoir in the Peak District, north of Sheffield. This is a square format image that shows the effect of a March wind on the surface of the water. The time of day affects the quality of the light, this picture is steely grey so I guess I took it at around mid day when a mad march wind was blowing. I consider this to be an abstract image because, other than the surface of the water, there are no discernable points of reference. Maybe it's a tiny bit Rothko-ish?

#Langsett bitterly cold but bracing morning circuit to clear the head after yesterday’s imbibing. Temperature hovering round zero at least making it dry underfoot. Loved it. 🥶
