The caterpillar of the large yellow underwing moth. It is on a sidewalk. The caterpillar is mostly a tan color with a number of square orange spots running down its body and a lighter line in the middle of those. There are small triangles running down the outer edge of its body. They are a light brown near its head and get darker to a dark brown at the tail end.
