WOW! Love the new camera!

I always have trouble remembering the name of this Red-bellied Woodpecker. The faint red blush on the lower belly is usually hard to see, but if you look closely, you'll see it.

A group of grackles is called a plague. Turn your volume all the way up to hear the plague across the channel. I opened the slider and couldn’t believe the racket!

Last Friday the gulls were on the other side of the lake and I could barely see them. Tonight though, they were right by the beach, and at one point hundreds of them all took off.

My recent trip to a nearby trail did not disappoint. Wood Duck mama with babies, the giant snapper I shared yesterday, and this Red-winged Blackbird repeatedly dive bombing a Sandhill Crane.
