Un plan d’eau à effet de miroir sur lequel flottent des branches et roseaux morts. Un blongios nain se tient perché sur l’une des branches, bien au centre de la photo. Il est ramassé sur lui même, le cou rentré et la tête tournée vers la gauche. Au dessus de lui, un arbre penché aux branches couvertes de mousse jaune. L’eau est d’un beau bleu ciel intense, on voit les vaguelettes d’une onde derrière l’oiseau.
