I was excited to order a Lochby Field Journal, but I'm not thrilled by the finish on the product straight out of the package.
Maybe I need to loosen up and take it hiking and camping to develop its rugged patina, but for now I'm not sure.
Looks and feel cheap, although it wasn't at all.

No really? Did I offend you? If I did I’m very sorry. I try so hard to walk the line in this increasingly polarized world, but as each day passes, it becomes increasingly more difficult to pretend the world isn’t going deeper into a man made abyss. When I wake up and watch news sources and find myself growing increasingly more desensitized to the growing darkness, it scares me. It makes me ask myself if when the time comes…will I stand for what is right? I hope so. I want to say that I know so. But when the inevitable big bad comes, I want to hope that whatever talent I have can leave a positive mark and potentially bring a smile or perhaps a provoking thought to someone to invoke some manner of right or justice or positivity or something…good. But I digress. I really apologize for using this alt space as a means to express my thoughts but…here they are. One day those thoughts may convict me as the world goes into full blown authoritarianism, and well, maybe this is my own way as one man to say - stand up & remember to do the right thing. Stand up & fight. Fight. Fight. Never let someone or anyone cause you to accept wrong as right. We are all on this planet together. While it lasts, this human moment, let’s just once in our moment say “Why are we so divided? Imagine the good that could come from just extending a hand in human decency. The benefit to mankind if we all pulled together to offer a proper hand of help in even the littlest way. Imagine the world of difference it would make? We all have one common enemy. It isn’t at all who we think it is. Consider those inner demons and perhaps put them to rest👏🏼
That time I had a lot on my mind…
