#OnePlaceWednesday Today's fun is untangling the mess I created yesterday by researching 1 chap from #LongBuckbyWharf. One man leads to 7 different #BoatFamilies and another connection to a Wharf person. And 3 of those boat families are already in my tree. Time to join them all up!
Yes and yes! #LongBuckbyWharf appears in my paternal line for 5 generations :) Not currently considering any other ancestral place because they tend to be cities or large towns - Buckby Wharf was the only one small enough! #OnePlaceWednesday

A basketmaker like his father, he lived at the Wharf.
William died 18 May 1853 from phthisis.

Baptised at Long Buckby on 28 Mar 1847, Lucy grew up at the Wharf & married George Green 1874.
Lucy & George remained at the Wharf with their son Edward.
Lucy died 20 Nov 1918 Northampton.

Harriet was born at the Wharf & died 11 days after her baptism. She died from marasmus (malnutrition), aged 1 yr & 4 months.

He married Rose Bester 1888 Welton. They are at the Wharf 1891 and again in 1911.
After Rose's death in 1899, her sister Margaret was his housekeeper & helped with the children.
James died 1934 Daventry.

Nellie married Reginald Hill 10 Oct 1942 Long Buckby. Reginald was a Royal Marine & was killed in action 31 Dec 1942.
Nellie married Frank York 1974. She died at Northampton 3 Aug 2007.
