Perymars are considered adolescent when bucks get their 6-points and when does go into their first estrous cycle (they'll usually have 4-points until they reach their 20s). When a doe gets her 6-points, she is considered socially mature. A buck is mature when he's got his 8-points.

BTW, yes, female (doe) perymars have antlers, but they don't grow anything bigger than a 6-point. They use them for defense and protecting fawns. Males (bucks) can get up to 12-points if they live long enough. They can live up to 200 years.

To be fair, perymars technically can choose a mate between 16-27 while they have their 6-points, but it's generally frowned upon as perymars don't really consider 6-point males or females mature enough to select a mate.

On the one hand, #Red is supposed to be 30. He doesn't look it. But then again, Perymars live much longer than humans do, and they aren't considered socially ready to mate until they have their eight-points, which takes 28-32 years.

I'm starting to think that I really need a schedule. I just don't have time at present to do everything I need to do. There's the website for #Lotherria that is still being built as we go. I am writing at least two stories at a time normally, though currently it is just #Red actively...
...but it just doesn't feel like enough. @maggycraven.bsky.social keeps telling me to relax these timelines and let the story decide how long it should take to do these things. I just have to figure out how to make those things happen.

Speaking of the Faun section, we'll be adding Satyrs as their own race and not a hybrid race. So, we'll be fixing that eventually.

So, on the #Lotherria website, I was working on the Faun section and...because of how I defined what a faun is, I removed the section for Taurines. However, we're thinking of replacing it with another category that specifically deals with faun-like equines. Dunno where we'll use em, but why not?

@maggycraven.bsky.social introduced me to a cryptid called a Snawfus, and now I want to find a way to incorporate it into #Lotherria. But I want to find a way to make their race distinct from perymars when I actually make a race. As far as animal, I can easily do that.
Ruby has a lot going on in the beginning of the story. She's the MAIN main character. So several chapters are just her doing things. #Red is a secondary main character, and while I want him to have a big presence in the story, Ruby needs to go first.
