A mature male tan spider as seen from the side. His foremost limbs called pedipalps are tipped with reddish bulbs called palpal bulbs. A long tube called an embolus sticks out of each palpul bulb. In this photo the spider's eyes are hidden by a knee but the tell-tale loxosceles violin shape is partially seen.
A side view of a male loxosceles spider. The spider's left two eyes and left pedipalp with palpal bulb and embolus are seen clearly. The spider stands on a bed of webbing he has made on a piece of corkbark.
Some cool photos I took of a male recluse's junk. #loxosceles #spider
