Congress to again consider Lumbee recognition bill as Trump returns to office • NC Newsline Congress will consider granting federal recognition to the Lumbee, an effort supported by a bipartisan group of lawmakers from North Carolina.

Bipartisan bill would give 55,000 #Lumbees access to benefits received by other recognized tribes, such as financial, housing, and health care assistance.
