Our team just wrapped up our first all-staff meeting of 2026 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, which hosts everything from community events to some of the world’s biggest artists right here in #MD03.

For the past year, Harper’s artwork has been displayed right here in the Capitol along with all the other incredible Congressional Art Competition winners from across the country – and if you’re a high schooler in #MD03, your artwork could be the one on display here soon.

Eid Mubarak! To all those who celebrate in #MD03 and across the country, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Eid full of happiness and good health.

This was the final stop in my tour of every hospital in #MD03, and while I’ve learned so much from our medical experts, one thing is abundantly clear: delivering proper care on the ground starts with fully funding Medicaid, Medicare, and other crucial federal programs.

I came to Congress to deliver for our neighbors in #MD03 regardless of the chaos coming from the White House, and I will continue to take every opportunity possible to be a voice and a vote for you here in Washington.

ICYMI: Team Maryland celebrated a major win right here in #MD03 – more than $35 million dollars in FEMA funding to improve stormwater management and flooding resilience for City Dock here in Annapolis!

That’s why this week, we reconvened our #MD03 environmental roundtable to discuss the work on the ground and in Congress to preserve, conserve, and restore our nation’s most treasured resources.

But whether it’s our first town hall or the 22nd, it’s always a privilege to hear what issues matter most in #MD03 – we heard everything from local issues like rising BGE bills & the future of Crownsville Hospital Center to national issues like affordability & oversight of the Trump Administration.

At our Interfaith Roundtable, I sat down with faith leaders of all backgrounds from across #MD03 to hear the challenges their communities are facing and how we can best support our neighbors, discussing everything from SNAP to health care to keeping young people engaged.

Our Cavaliers took on the Capitol this week! I had the honor of welcoming nearly 300 government students from Archbishop Spalding High School to our nation’s Capitol – including many from all across #MD03!

Calling all #MD03 high schoolers! The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open! 🎨 Every year, tens of thousands of talented artists submit pieces, and the winners have their work displayed in the halls of the Capitol.

I’m incredibly proud that Howard County is leading our nation in responding to the weaponization of ICE right here in #MD03.

More special visitors to the Capitol this week: the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, including St. John’s here in #MD03. Together, we discussed innovative solutions around financial aid, as well as new projects at St. John’s.

This week, our fantastic District Office Team presented an update on our constituent casework (over 1,380 federal cases closed and counting!), District budget wins, and opportunities for continued federal-state collaboration to the #MD03 staff of the Maryland General Assembly!

Justice Marshall, who embodied our nation’s promise of justice and equality, is just one of the many storied and influential Marylanders we celebrate and honor.

Happy Black History Month, #MD03!

It’s anticipated that Congress will end the shutdown over the coming days. However, with over 45,000 federal employees in #MD03, I know any shutdown creates serious uncertainty and doubt. As a reminder, due to a 2019 law, federal employees are required to receive backpay at the end of a shutdown.

As Muslim American Heritage Month comes to a close, we take a moment to celebrate the rich history and culture of our Muslim communities in #MD03 and across the country.
