Lan Zhan felt the corner of his lips tug upward, feeling as if something particularly funny had just occurred, his insides ticklish, before he instantly schooled his expression. “Now Wei Ying.” Lan Zhan took hold of Wei Ying’s chin, his thumb pressing harshly down. He is taking something away from Wei Ying — he shouldn’t be too mean. Why not give him a consolidation prize? “Kiss me how you would those girls of yours.”

“Stand on one leg until I tell you to put it down.” One leg lifts up into the air, hand still loose in Lan Zhan's. Wei Ying holds the pose, but after a while, he begins to tilt as he loses his balance. He begins to fall with no indication of attempting to catch himself. Lan Zhan lets him, but at the last second, he catches his shoulders and rights Wei Ying up. His body feels like lead. “You may put your leg down," Lan Zhan says and Wei Ying does. Lan Zhan's jaw sets, patiences dwindling. An idea pops into his mind. “Wei Ying,” Lan Zhan said. He hesitates. It felt like a long, lingering pause. Then, “bark like a dog.”

Lan Zhan stared at the ridiculous man in front of him, Wei Ying giving him a pleading look to play along with his game. He wonders not for the first time why he allows Wei Ying to come into his home. All he knows how to do is be a nuisance while Lan Zhan is busy trying to create his lesson plan and grade his students' papers. Lan Zhan huffs, annoyed, as he pushes himself away from his desk. “Fine. Sit up.”

They kept bugs away. His hand slid to Lan Zhan’s wrist, hooking his finger in the silk bracelet he wore. “So, tell me why do you keep coming here? If it was to see me, you could have asked for my number.” He laughed at that, the sound never ceasing to cause tingles down his spine.

He could tell they were glowing from how Wei Ying’s lips ticked upwards in amusement. Shit. He tried to look away but had forgotten that Wei Ying was still holding on to his chin. “Lan Zhan~” He said, forcing his eyes on those chocolate one’s, a hint of red circling the iris. “What made you act like such a wild beast, hm?”
