The front side of a Scorpion 'mech, a quadrupedal spider-lookin' thing. It has a white body, a large fuck-off cannon on the right side of its body, and a missile launcher atop it. Its body is white, its cockpit purple, and the legs gunmetal - except for the orange shins and gold knees. There are other gold accents as well, including some of the housing of the cannon and the hatch on the cockpit. Yeah, I need to go over some spots for this. Touch ups and all that. Maybe hit it with some wash.

A Goliath 'mech, four legs of absolute pain, photo taken by a shitty photographer (me). Its legs are the dark blue and central hull a dark green - the colors of Crashland's Wildriders. Its knees, canopy, and PPC cannon on top of the whole thing are a softer purple, nearing a lavender color. Its cannon (out of focus) and missile launchers on its shoulders are painted in a gunmetal gray.

So, behold, 30-some-odd years later, a dream is realized. One that I didn't even know existed. 10 year old me might not like the lavender-ish purple that Crash uses to identify himself, but ya know what? I'm not 10 year old me.
I'm not afraid of color.

mounted weapon tends to vary by mission, either leaning towards his preference for ballistics and his understanding that lasers (in this case, a medium) add a nice balance to it.
Admittedly, he's not above using the cannon as a bludgeon when he runs out of ammo...

The arms still bear the ER Medium Lasers for defense. The head mounted one, however, has replaced it with a machine gun. He very much states that it's a "work in progress", and cannot bring himself to surrender it.

Two unpainted, unprimed battletech minis, attached to the tops of those orange pill bottles you get from the pharmacist in the states. On the left, a Whitmore (Temu's answer to the Catapult). On the right, a Wolverine.
And so, prep on my next minis begins. Think I got Crashland's Wildriders colors selected, so we shall see how they look.
