Video recording of Australian Science communicator, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts going head-to-head at a Senate inquiry, Parliament House, Canberra ACT yesterday. Dr Karl was asked a series of questions by Senator Malcolm Roberts, who pressed him on the definition of scientific terms. Kruszelnicki turned the mic back onto the Queensland Senator, asking, “Do you agree that the last ten years have been the hottest years on record, worldwide?” Roberts disagreed, to which Kruszelnicki replied: “I feel like I’m talking to a school child who says seven times two is not 14 but instead seven times two is a bicycle.” Kruszelnicki informed Roberts that 99.9999% of scientists disagree with him. Roberts called this scientific consensus a “political tool”.
