Mr Jeremy Fisher is sitting on top of a wicker coffin. Dad is having a humanist ceremony tomorrow afternoon, he loved the pictures I took with the frog, so if you have a problem with this, move on.

#TheAdventuresOfJeremyFisher I spent almost an hour talking with Dad today. I told him about Mum’s visit to Australia for my 50th, read him a bit of #MappAndLucia, and played #ElgarsNimrod

A selfie of me in front of Lamb House. It’s a red brick, Georgian House with a black front door, in Rye.

I’m wearing a blue corduroy jacket with a grey scarf, I’m smiling with glee, my grey hair in a quiff.

#BookSky - I went to my favourite place in the whole wide world today, Rye. Lamb House was where two English authors, Henry James (The Portrait of a Lady) and EF Benson lived.

Benson’s #MappAndLucia have been my companions for 40 years, it was nice to find his grave to say ‘thank you’

On this day, 40 years ago, I was introduced to what is still one of my favourite TV series - and it led me to what is still my favourite series of books ... EF Benson's glorious #MappandLucia series, dramatised by @channel4tv.bsky.social and with the peerless cast of McEwan, Scales & Hawthorne.
