The Blood Syndicate triumphs. Everybody agrees they just dramatically overpower DV-8. The chief advantages are the Superman level DMZ and Flashback's time manipulation abilities. Very difficult advantages to overcome.

Sam is well versed in magic,is both a Vampire & Werewolf, and spends most of his time hunting the supernatural. can body jump, teleport, all kinds of crazy stuff!
However after the dust settles, Spawn is the one walking away.

More than any other fight I think this one came down to pure popularity. Fabian Niceza did amazing character work on X-Force, made these second stringers truly beloved. By contrast Stormwatch didn't really have personality until Ellis came on.
