I’m so disappointed I have to miss Ghost tomorrow. Was looking forward to this for months! ;;
As soon as I’m better, I’m gonna go on an adventure! RSV + Pneumonia was VERY much not the plan for bday week, lol! #medtalk
It’s 2026 and people still confuse water balance disorders and sodium balance disorders…
Like…”normal saline” is the “solution” to hyponatremia.
@kidneyboy.bsky.social will be so proud 😂😭

Been popping it, cleaning it and everything else.
They know I'm prone to getting jaw infections. They know when I got my wisdom teeth removed [a decade ago] - my entire bottom jaw was nothing but infection.
They do know that this shit could easily kill me right lol

So basically what I wanted to talk about was the pre-op and post-op experiences, and what I was told about during the operation. TW for blood, in depth talk about organs and health risks, etc. I will also talk about the ugly things I didn't expect to deal with until they happened.
I'll even keep everything about the surgery specifically it to this thread if I can. I have a host of health issues so I'll use #MedTalk from now on about all of the in depth talk about it that could be upsetting or uncomfortable to read.
I'm going to make a tag called #MedTalk - mute it if you are bothered by more in depth talk on medical stuff. I may not always remember, and if I'm just bitching about surgery or pain on a base level I won't use it, but I want to talk about the actual process, what I went through, and the outcome.
Fantastic #MedTalk at #GPCE in Melbourne on COPD and Cardiovascular risk.
Amazing how easy it is for our bias to kick in and deal with one system or the other.
In reality we need to be thinking of all systems.
Sounds obvious, but sometimes we need a gentle reminder !

Then why the hell are medication prescribed in batches of 28?
Most months have 31 days, even 30 days would be more useful!
