Pa Salieu - Afrikan Alien
The album is at its best when it's on the political themes and Africa, but there's not too much of it. Musically adding in various influences elevates it slightly above some others from the genre, but ultimately is never truly different.

Ooft! This was tough. I'm sorry, I don't like his voice. The strings, which were the most interesting were too sparingly used. This is traditional folk, and I'm struggling to think what it actually brings to the table...

Joe Webb - Hamstrings and Hurricanes
From my limited knowledge of jazz, this feels very much rooted in the past, whilst there's nothing wrong with it, I can't see anything really innovative. It's quite clear that the guy and his band can play and is a very enjoyable listen.

Jacob Alon - In Limerence
Alon's voice is sublime on this album and the front half is superb. There's a dreamlike quality to the tone of this album that you drift through. I will admit, I would like more variety, but nonetheless a very good album.

FKA Twigs - Eusexua
There's some really good stuff on here and others that just don't for me personally. Regardless of what works, from a musical standpoint, this is a super interesting pop album. I'll need more listens to get into the lyrics.
