Born 3rd June 1947, musician Mickey Finn. Three months older than Marc Bolan, he joined T. Rex in 1969, replacing Steve Peregrin Took. He remained with T. Rex throughout their hit-making years and had been allegedly chosen by Bolan because of his good looks and sartorial style. #MickeyFinn #TRex

We lost the wonderful Mickey Finn on 11th Jan 2003. Marc's sidesman in T. Rex and something of a character both on and off stage, Finn was often to be seen wearing a hat (including a green bowler), a trademark that was adopted by a significant proportion of T. Rex fans. #TRex #MickeyFinn
