Born 19 May 1947, Steve Currie was the bass player with T.Rex from 1970 to 1976. His innovative and sophisticated bass playing can be seen to good effect in the movie 'Born to Boogie'. He died in a car crash on 28 April 1981, whilst returning to his home in the Algarve, Portugal. #SteveCurrie
